Do you mean Twitter Cancelled or actual cancelled? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pan_(2015_film)
LOL the producer made every fucking CW DC show and the live action Green Lantern movie.
Seems they are much more comfortable with making TV series where you can just have people stand aorund in dark alleyways talking soap opera shit.
And who needs an unnecessary prequel with we already had an unnecessary sequel that was way more gay and awesome than anything the 21th century could possibly produce?

I don't know what's up with this trend of doing prequels or sequels to classic stories instead of, you know, adapting the actual story.
But I think there was a so-so rated live action Peter Pan. (It might be this one?)
I never saw it, but it's probably the best live-action we'll ever get thanks to woke.

It's just the ultimate fanfiction. There is no existing beloved story for you to bother with, and in fact you don't really have to make too much research.
Plus think of the possibilities: If you're making a sequel you can phase out the old guard in favor of more diversity, and if you're making a prequel you can reveal that a group of stronk and diverse people have been the real heroes all along.

I think I watched it on TV once. Came across as a bit grimdark, but I guess you won't see many adaptations where Tinker Bell (temporarily) dies, which is odd considering the whole "I believe in X!" meme.

Like with Aladdin. In the original cartoon version, Jasmine was just a damsel in distress. But the live action version kicks it up a notch. Now she sings about being caged!
Stunning and brave.
Hook and Pan had a buddy angle in that 2015 movie and the villain was Blackbeard, who was forcing orphans to mine for crystallized pixie dust. I remember hearing it was weird, forgetting it existed, and then watching it one night on tv while at work. We were all baffled by just how fucking weird it was (read that plot synopsis that was posted) and kept rushing our patrols during commercial breaks. A movie that is that bad but manages to keep a captive audience is somehow memorable. I don’t think it’d have that effect a second time. Security was actually a really fun job, our boss let us set up a nice tv in the monitor room and we could bring game consoles or whatever we had if we wanted, so long as we did the scheduled patrols and made sure people weren’t causing trouble. It was a pharmaceutical research type place so we had to keep an eye out for junkies trying to break in mostly.
