Gaming didn't start to get REALLY shit until ps4 gen. There was plenty of solid stuff made by western devs for the ps3 and xbox 360. Certainly better than weebshit waifu sims.

2007 was the last truly great year for AAA. After that things slowly got worse and worse, and even then the seeds for modern "cinematic" gaming were planted that year. At the time meaningless spectacle was at least new since it hadn't been done before but after a year or two it got really shitty really fast.

Yeah, but this gen has been dry as fuck. We had bloodborne for the ps4 and a few games I can't remember for all mainstream systems. But mostly we got nothing. 60fps ports of old shit.

What year did Dead Space come out? Because I think that was 2008 or 09 and I remember a lot of big AAA games during those years. Shit like Saints Row 2, Dead Space, Bioshock, FEAR 2, Dead Space 2, Red Dead Redemption, the orange box, portal 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Mass Effect 1 and 2, Resident Evil 5, Alan Wake, Demon's and Dark Souls.

Not saying all those games were flawless but I remember them. I can't remember the last five or so years of gaming. I've been playing old shit mostly. Dark Souls 3 was a pale imitation of previous games.
