Re: Movie Thread
I wonder if Alien: Covenant will at least be better than Alien Resurrection and Aliens Colonial maries, as a fan of the Alien franchise the years have not been good as far as movies go so i'll tolerate something that interest and doesn't make rage like i have since 3 or 4.

I just remembered, are the Resident Evil movies in CGI not too bad? I thought of going to see Resident Evil Vendetta for some dumb fun

It covers pretty much the entire Arthur legend in a mixture of '80s hair metal, classic theater and 15th century period arms and armor. BTW Kugel, this movie has some pretty legit sword fights and the armor maker is really famous. Lancelot vs Arthur actually has grappling in armor with swords.

Re: Movie Thread
It starts promising, but after a third in it realigns itself with the Prometheus storyline, and after a certain event everything is very easy to predict. Some scenes with Fassbender were kind of interesting. I think they did the xenomorphs origin even more convoluted then before. I don't know if the AvP movies should count in to the Aliens storyline, but after this movie I guess not. The Ripley replacement is even more forgettable then the one from Prometheus.Charlar wrote: ↑Wed May 17, 2017 11:02 pmI wonder if Alien: Covenant will at least be better than Alien Resurrection and Aliens Colonial maries, as a fan of the Alien franchise the years have not been good as far as movies go so i'll tolerate something that interest and doesn't make rage like i have since 3 or 4.
At least Wal-Mart didn't buy out Weyland-Yutani in this one and there is no Xeno Queen with a womb, but I'm pretty sure somebody refers to the Xenomorph as perfect.
Re: Movie Thread
What the fuck kind of name is xenomorph? Seriously, that shit is gay.

Re: Movie Thread
xeno- is a prefix from greek that literally means alien and morph means shape. Perfectly fine to me.

It's also alluding to their final form being depended to some extend on the host they incubate in.

Re: Movie Thread
It honestly feels like Ridley Scott's going through a sort of "George Lucas" phase nowadays with how he's treating the Alien continuity, All of these accumulated levels of convolution & retcons are seriously irritating.
