Re: Weebshit Thread
Those theatrical movies were animated at 4:3 aspect ratio, but purposely designed to be cropped to 16:9 when shown theatrically. I think they did at 4:3 to make it easy for the TV and VHS aftermarket. So either aspect ratio is correct.
That censorship is NOT acceptable.
I rented Funimation's Blu-rays of the movies years ago from Netflix and burned them to BD-Rs. Hopefully they're the uncensored ones.

Funimation Dragon Ball Blu-rays are all shit because they're just the Orange Bricks but in 1080p. Except for the Levels sets, F.
I guess the best source for DB movies in terms of objective video quality is gonna be those Zima Entertainment ones from Mexico.
They're Funimation masters without all the gay filtering. Non-Z DB movies are in 4:3. But the second one had its FPS raeped.

I remember the Blu-rays having even less grain than the Orange Bricks. Its comparing shit to shit, aint worth too much brain expenditure.
Re: Weebshit Thread

As far as the show is concerned, it's really not different to filler for normal TV series with expensive effects going on. For every expensive episode they throw in cheap garbage ones to keep the cost down. The Walking Dead is a perfect example where the entire second season is nothing but bottom trash filler.Liar Revealed wrote: ↑Fri Dec 14, 2018 12:51 pmHave you guys ever tried explaining anime filler to normies? It's impossible. I don't know an easy way of describing what it is to them and why it sucks.

I assume they do it like the Arrowverse shows and pad everything out with soap-opera-tier nonsense.Kugelfisch wrote: ↑Mon Dec 31, 2018 3:13 pmAs far as the show is concerned, it's really not different to filler for normal TV series with expensive effects going on. Television is an inherrentley feminine medium. Its based in safety and repetition, never changing status quo. Thats why theres so few telekinos, and the ones that do exist, above all else, knew when to fuck off.
Re: Weebshit Thread
Even in the good series you are gonna find filler and garbage episodes because of the broadcast time slots and the requirements of certain number of episodes, it will just extend the original intent of the story.
