Makes sense. Sony's still trying to set up that Sinister Six nonsense. (Felicity Jones still Black Cat? Probs not.) I just hope they use Andrew Garfield if the rumored Spider-Man cameo happens. Fuck that middle-aged manlet in the Marvel movies.

Watched the 1931 Dracula for the first time and it kinda defied all my expectations.
For one, I thought the whole film would be set in Dracula's castle so color me surprised when we randomly went on a road trip to London(why did he move anyway?).
For two, my only experience with 30s films prior to this were Frankenstein pictures, so the theatricality of the production as well as the performances took me really off guard. Even Lugosi had his moments of downright bizarre delivery(mostly thinking of his first scene with Renfield).
For three, I know Peter Cushing is Peter Cushing, but the original Van Helsing was pretty badass. Can someone tell me why the film ends with him staying in the Abbey though? It felt like a scene of him doing something else was cut.
Dwight Frye was definitely the highlight, even if I'm not fully sure what the point of the Renfield character was beyond explaining how Dracula got to London.
So overall, it was a bit all over the place, but I definitely enjoyed the atmosphere and the characters. I just kinda wish Dracula, Renfield and Van Helsing were all in a better movie. I have heard of the supposedly technically superior Spanish version, so maybe that's what I'm looking for(if that one has a score, then it already has brownie points with me).
