Eh. The Shield and The Wire both had good endings. Frasier had a good ending. King of the Hill's ending was fine. American shows usually either have an elaborate wrap-up or they end with no ending at all. Nips just suck at writing conclusions.

For everyone of those you have a Sopranos or even a fucking LOST that doesn't even know what to do seasons before the ending.

Funnily enough, I think Nippon writers have similar issues to Abridged blokes in that shit gets out of hand when the show runs for too long. They can't help themselves. If you stare into the weeb for too long, the weeb will desu back at you.
Something like tokushit tends to fare better, but that's mainly because the shows' length is set in stone and there's plenty of guidelines in previous shows.

Well, Lost is a deliberate hack job where each season only served to want people to watch the next season in the hopes they'll finally start explaining shit. I wouldn't be surprised if nobody even thought about an ending until the final season.Kugelfisch wrote: ↑Fri Sep 28, 2018 10:47 pmFor everyone of those you have a Sopranos or even a fucking LOST that doesn't even know what to do seasons before the ending.
Autism attracts more autism. Sooner or later, an internet nobody will attract the exact kind of fans - and detractors - he deserves.

What in the fresh hell was supposedly good about that shit ending?
That the aimlessness was deliberate is a meme at best. The faggots had a premise and just made shit up as they went along. But they did have years time to think of a good ending at the very least. Utter incompetency.VoiceOfReasonPast wrote: ↑Sat Sep 29, 2018 7:12 amWell, Lost is a deliberate hack job where each season only served to want people to watch the next season in the hopes they'll finally start explaining shit. In general the last season of the Sopranos was shitty, you know that when they start doing really long dreams sequences to fill screentime.

TNG had a good ending. DS9 was shit, the second-half of it at least.

That is was a non-conclusion with a wannabe cliffhanger for an end. It's pretty much fade to black gunshot. It doesn't get much more hack fraud than that.Keith Chegwin wrote: ↑Sun Sep 30, 2018 2:47 amWhat was bad about it?Kugelfisch wrote: ↑Sat Sep 29, 2018 11:47 pmWhat in the fresh hell was supposedly good about that shit ending?

Generally it was probably a bad idea to split the season in two but there are some excellent episodes in there and the ending ties up most of the loose ends. The final scene will forever be memorable.
By contrast who even talks about Lost any more? Except to point out how incredibly overrated it was?
