It's not like theaters are really worth it, really. New plays are pretentious, degenerate and/or woke, and old plays get "updated" to be like that.

I call cinemas as "theatres" when I want to sound super high class and thought it was a Bri'ish thing like "THE TELLY".

Funny that the German word for it is "Kino"*, which cinema just isn't anymore.


*Okay, there's also "Lichtspielhaus" but that's a pretty old word and has really only been used up to the late 90s for cinemas with seat service that allowed smoking.
