My entire Twitter feed, which is mostly right-leaning commentators and players, was ALL Will Smith and Chris Rock last night. And it still is. Jack Posobiec had something to say. Matt Walsh. I think Ann Coulter chimed in. It was a cultural event. Of course the ratings went up.

I still don't think it was staged, though.

"Hey, Will Smith, we'll pay you to go up on stage in the middle of the show and smack Chris Rock and look like an insecure psycho. Get back to us!"

"Hey, Chris Rock, we'll pay you extra to get hit by Will Smith on camera and look like a total beta with no comeback. Call me back!"

I just don't see it.

That said, Hollywood will capitalize on this moment. I'll bet $5 that Will Smith and Chris Rock make a movie together down the road.
