Does Lego even do original stuff anymore? Outside of Ninjago, of course.

They have their terrible Friends series with shit colours that make any build hideous and dumb figures that are named for some reason.VoiceOfReasonPast wrote: ↑Sun Aug 06, 2023 9:24 amDoes Lego even do original stuff anymore? Outside of Ninjago, of course.
Outside of that, it's mostly Disney trash. No castles, no pirate ships, just about no trains and Technic models have less and less functions.

Jeebus, Lego Friends looks like they're pandering to everyone's favorite "untapped" customer base: females

Re: Why is there no Lego Thread?
The only Legos I had as a kid were mostly hand-me-down bricks my brothers had as kids (plus a couple random Mega Blocks as well), and I almost never worked off a set: I just built random bullshit by mixing and matching.

I too mostly just had a big box of lose bricks handed down, which later went to a young cousin of mine. You can toss them in a pillow case into the washing machine.

For a second I thought you meant this. I don’t see much Lego stuff these days but my book store has stuff like this, star wars, and Seinfeld of all thingsKugelfisch wrote: ↑Sun Aug 06, 2023 1:45 pmThey have their terrible Friends series with shit colours that make any build hideous and dumb figures that are named for some reason.VoiceOfReasonPast wrote: ↑Sun Aug 06, 2023 9:24 amDoes Lego even do original stuff anymore? Re: Why is there no Lego Thread?
Oh no, there's a series that is supposedly targeted at girls. The bricks tend to have terrible colours like lavender or some pastels like washed out lime. Shit you'll have a hard time using for anything.
It's a dumb concept. Offer a pony farm and girls will like it, whether the roof is tiled in regular red or purple.

Re: Why is there no Lego Thread?
It has to be pastels. 'Cause it's for girls. And yes, they got shit for that, but that didn't stop them. It's the law with girls' toys.
Also here's how this shit looks like:

Notice the shamefur dispray of the minifigs they're using for this line. If it didn't have the Lego brand I'd say it was one of those no-name Lego compatible brands. They do tend to have different-looking minifig-equivalents.

You say compatible but the dumb figures aren't even compatible to anything else.

Yeah, they do look a lot taller than your average minifig or bootleg minifig. JFC.
