And it's like I find something new every time I visit the Kickstarter.

• Those hyenapeople look decidedly too furry. You just know the team had at least one furfag.
• The former Earthlings have named themselves after their new planet, which raises an eyebrow or two.
• If I can decipher the nonsense lore correctly there are/were human-like natives on the planet, but they conveniently all look black-ish.
• I just noticed the stretch goals contained custom dice even though they hadn't decided on the system yet, meaning there's a good chance that at least some of the dice will never be used

Oh, and I don't think I was aware yet of the main site. Turns out they've settled on the Cortex Prime system, which at least does use all dice. I guess it's better than Powered by the Apocalypse? It had its fans I guess, but the systems peak was over 10 years ago.
What makes this extra weird is that previous versions of this system have almost exclusively been used for licenses RPGs, like Firefly or fucking Supernatural. I'm pretty sure there was never a Cortex book that wasn't some licensed nonsense, aside from the obligatory generic core book.
It was also used for one of those many, many Marvel RPGs who are ridiculously short-lived, for the Heavens have decreed that Marvel got it right the first time with the superior FASERIP system.

Another snippet of the book, continuing the weird trend of "It's no longer problematic if you point out that the black people orcs are bandits!", with a cute little stab at the "chuds".

The context should've made it obvious I was talking about one group of goblins that is not necessarily representative of the species as a whole. And of course they're bandits. (Also I'm pretty sure the DM would be giving too much information away by instantly specifying the goblins' profession. Investigating why the goblin entrepreneurs keep attacking might be the actual focus of the adventure.)

How can it "feel" like it might come up in session 0, aka before the campaign has actually started? This just gives me the impression the GM has planned for this from the start.

And JFC with the consent sections. They're actually for character and player consent, but the writers named them both "Consent" so they can waste multiple sentences justifying themselves, and of course virtue signal about how important consent is.

Ain't much defeating the big evil if you take it in the ass at the conclusion.
But I like their realisation that declaring all monstrous, humanoid races to be a 100% accurate representation of niggers possibly being a tiny blunder on their part. I also like their solution.
