I tried Le Heretic+Hexen "remakes" by Le Nightdive Studios.
I uninstalled Le Heretic+Hexen "remakes" by Le Nightdive Studios.

In terms of graphics, GZDoom is simply better.

In terms of sound, the remixed soundtrack of Heretic is ok, the remixed soundtrack of Hexen is a bombastic piece of shit.
The gayme allows you to play with the OG OSTs, but their volume is much, much lower than the remixes', likely on purpose.

In terms of gaymeplay, i haven't noticed anything different when it comes to Heretic, excluding that both games have by default the cancerous crosshair you can see in this video:



When it comes to Hexen, now in the Seven Portals hub there's a book that allows you to change class, which is stupid.
And now the Cleric has a shield paired with his mace to do Le parries with, because Le Doom Dork Ages has Le shield to do Le parries with.
I tested the shield with the Ettins (the shittiest enemies in the game that only attack in melee), i don't know if it can be used to send ranged attacks back to the monsters and if so, what's the point of using other classes and/or weapons?

Hexen also has a new intro cutscene and, unless i remember things wrong, it partially retcons the story.
As far as i remember, the protagonists of both games were the last survivors of their races (elves in Heretic, humans in Hexen) after their worlds were invaded and conquered by one of three Serpent Riders.
Among the bosses of Hexen there were the undead forms of the three former masters of the warrior, the cleric and the mage.
In the cutscene the masters were always evil as fuck, and humans are pretty much still alive.

The gayme has the expansions and a couple of new episodes, one for each game.
But considering that Nightdive Studios made them, they are likely trash.

Their port of Strife was good, their remake of System Shock was decent, but each new release by those overrated woke cunts is worse than the previous one.
Whoever supports them deserve to go down die in a fire with them.

-The geniuses have no intention to whip up more servers aka the only feasible solution, because they cost time and money.
More money than the donations they got over the years, it seems.
-They schedule a relaunch, and one of their "fixes" apparently consisted in creating a rushed new starting zone for the gnomes, so there would have been less players in the same place.
They fucked up the assets' placement, making Anvilmar inaccessible.
-Servers work ok for a while, then crashes again.
-Devs make up some "medical emergencies" and run.

It's pretty obvious that all of the promises on their website were the kind of Sweet Little Lies that would make Todd blush.
These guys are Pirate Software-tier bozos, unable to run even a regular wrath pirate server.
