I bothered reading the article and wow, you sure as hell weren't kidding about it being a slog to read through. As it turns out, there was simply no explanation given on why the main character wearing those clothes was bad. The notion was just something retarded along the lines of "Aloy literally commited a genocide against all native american tribes because of her skin color and now she is wearing our clothes. Can you believe that?". Why her wearing the clothes is a problem is completely unexplained. One would think that it is flattering if someone at least bothers to preserve your culture if he is going to exterminate you anyway.

Leftist doctrine postulates that all this "x appropriation" can only ever be committed by *white* people. You can see it in this article, where the main issue is that the game has white people, and where the author has to channel all the crimes that white people have committed against Natives in an attempt to make you feel disgusted at Aloy having a tribal-y getup.
