Japan likes their girls young and pure so they can rape and defile them, the younger they are the better.

Re: We did it
How hard is it to make an awesome story driven sonic game based on those Archie comics?
Robotnik having conquered most of the planet under his metal thumb, a small group of resistance fighters seek some way to topple his regime, their only hope a speedy blue hedgehog that takes on their most dangerous missions.
Basically Megaman Zero but with Sonic characters. I'd play that.

The Archie Sonic comics started out light-hearted and initially didn't take themselves seriously, but as the years went by, the stories took themselves too seriously and went from blatant retardation to sheer insanity, like out of a modern shounen anime/manga or a bad soap opera. Going from Sonic playing tricks on Robotnik to furry bait Princess Sally dying, but then, not dead all along whilst Sonic gets hunted by an enraged skunk with a crossbow while flying a marsupial dragon and killing Robotnik over the loss of his village but realizing his village wasn't destroyed because of convenient time displacement bullshit which sent the village forward through time was fucking stupid. The comics, ironically, followed a similar fate to what happened with the Sonic video games; they took their stories too seriously and made them genuinely retarded (albeit the Sonic games also suffered from horrendously poor gameplay design except for Colors and Generations in the post-Sonic Jam era).
The closest we got to an Archie-like video game adaptation was Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric, and we all know how that shit turned out.
All that the Sonic games need are practically no story whatsoever + refined simple gameplay that made the original Sonic games good, kind of like what Sonic Mania is doing, and that's being made by hackers hired by Sega. Also...

Sanic is a game about running fast and that's all it needed to be. As a series, it needs way less storyline (read: autism) and way better game/level design. Sanic IMO is still waiting for its Mario 64, let alone its Mario Galaxy 2.

lol I said BASED ON. It never needs to go farther than Robotnik has controll of the world, Sonic had to run fast to stop him.Seele wrote: ↑Fri Jun 16, 2017 1:37 amNo, just no.CIANigger wrote: ↑Thu Jun 15, 2017 11:02 pmHow hard is it to make an awesome story driven sonic game based on those Archie comics?

I'm more saying keep those visuals, and cut all story except that very simple and tried and true premise.

They probably can't even do that because Ken Penders will get triggered again and try to sue them for stealing his "amazing" ideas.
Autism attracts more autism. Sooner or later, an internet nobody will attract the exact kind of fans - and detractors - he deserves.

Re: We did it
Anyone here has the slightest interest in Sonic Mania? All the usual manchildren are all up in arms about it, because of course they are. The game itself doesn't seem to shabby, but it's something Sega could've made waaaaaaaaaaaay back in the Saturn era. Certainly could've been an alternative for X-treme since they could never agree on a direction for that one anyway.

It just looks like Sanic 2. I was watching DSP play green hill zone and I would swear that shit is exactly the same in Sanic 2. It didn't look at all different or new.
Re: We did it
There are some old levels redone with more frames of sprite animation and better background scrolling along with new levels.
