I especially love that otaku dude who is always talking about the superiority of 2D over 3D. In a lesser game (aka Persona) there would be an entire dating sim chain attached to him, where you hang out with him and slowly turn him from a miserable, self-hating nerd into someone who wants to date 3D women (cause these stupid Social Links are always about how the other character is wrong and needs to change).
Not so here. He is a fully realized character, fully confident in his sexual identity. There is no doubt or fear in his eye when he has to defend a super market from extradimensional monsters.

And Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth is a better DemiKids, if maybe not quite as appropriate for kids.

Muh nostalgia aside, all you do in that game is charging enemies, do some button mashing and then charging them again.

This is much better:



Metroidvania with Vanillaware art style, starring albino loli who uses defeated bosses and mid-bosses as attacks like Dracula boy in Aria of Sorrow.
Souls-like setting (everyone but her is either dead or turned into a monster by the rain), pace as fast as Hollow Knight, combat very dodge and parry oriented.
