The original release was bugged, as guest mentioned.
I'm baffled that there is a Switch version, though. Playing a point and click adventure from the 90s on a console just seems absurd to me.
It's not. Played the piss4 and soyich version a while back and they fix the controls for using the controller.
Funny enough I'm though Playing it on the big screen using the family pc, with the family (of Course) and they all Love it.
As much as I hate Tim Schafer, I'll admit that it's not only his masterpiece but it's one of my absolute favorite games
I can't play point and click games at all. I find them too intolerable as a genre. Mainly because of the interface. The only one I like is I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream. Its quality transcends a genre I dislike.
Old ass adventure games tend to have annoying moon ass non-logic puzzles to increase the playtime, but modern ones aren't that bad in that regard, probably. At least I'm 67% sure most RPG fans can enjoy games like Don't Escape because a good adventure game is basically an RPG without grinding.

Adventure games turned to shit the instant they became point-and-click. Command line prompts is where the true kino lies.
Autism attracts more autism. Sooner or later, an internet nobody will attract the exact kind of fans - and detractors - he deserves.

I finish that type of game too fast, and there's no replayability.
Discworld 1 was the only one that i beat with a guide; not only the logic behind the puzzles is absurd, but the game doesn't provide any hint on how to approach them.
The genre peaked with Sam & Max Hit The Road.
The other ones that i remember fondly are Monkey Island 2 because of the ending and the nightmare sequence, Discworld 2 because it was better than 1 in everything, Day of The Tentacle because you could use a lot of items with everything to trigger jokes and gags, Larry's Love for Sail because tits, Woodruff and the Schnibble of Azimuth (with ita dub) because of the foreboding music and atmosphere.
I started to realize that James Rolfe was a low IQ Bimmy when i saw him struggling so much with Maniac Mansion.
Even before knowing who Cuck Schafer was i always hated Grim Fandango for being everything i hate in vidya:
Boring, pc and pretentious.
Adventure games are gay and for fags.
Why won't SCUMMVM make bootleg PC ports of what the people really want (PC98 eroge).
Soy translators will put their talking points in them, and the monkeys on Gamefaqs and Steam will defend them because "it's important to hunt down transphobia from every aspect of the culture" (sentence i read on the SRW 30 steam forum).
I'd rather learn nipponese myself.
