Forgot about that. They retroactively made the story shittier. Since we know it's a flashback, we know York survived and we even get the plot twist about his hair spoiled.

Every enemy dies in something like 2-5 shots of the standard pistol in the director's cut btw. Swery really took to heart the whiners complaining the game was too hard.

Yeah, just watching a full LP basically gives you the full experience. You either get shit combat or piss easy shit combat. DP was a good story told well but never really a good game.

The original DP never needed a sequel in the first place. The story was remarkably closed, with no dangling threads left. But because it was a "hit," it was given a sequel. SWERY is a hack and DP was good in spite of rather than because of him. Spy Fiction is fun too. The other shit he made looks turbo homosexual.

I wouldn’t have minded seeing more adventures with Morgan, but not like this. He failed hard. D4 was okay from what I remember, but I didn’t get far so it may have gotten awful as it went.

From what I hear the Switch version removed the narration cutscenes where Morgan is talking to his granddaughter, and the other content like owning a house. Not sure about difficulty, but the frame rate seems debated among the threads I read. I’ll probably get it since I no longer have my 360 or copy, just not anytime soon.

I finished 13 Sentinels and, as long as you get past the fact that the battles look like something out of a PS2, the game is as good as the other Vanillaware games.

The story is great, it plays out kinda like Forbidden Siren and puts together Serial Experiments Lain, Evangelion, GITS, Terminator and something from Westworld and Total Recall.
Even if you hate everything else about the game, it's still worth playing because of it.

The decision of not showing an animated sequence after every attack makes the semi-RT battles very fast, and fun in the second half of the game when you have swarms of enemies and missiles all over the screen.

The soundtrack is on par with the SMT games.



The game overall is pretty easy, i played the whole thing on "intense" and rarely i had to replay a map in order to get the S rank, and that was all the grinding needed to have sufficiently upgraded mechs to beat the final boss with (none of the bosses are overpowered cheating fucks like the ones of the Valkyria Chronicles games).
I thought the game could use more and harder maps, and it gives them to you after you have finished the story, when there is not much point in playing them aside the trophies Reddit gold.

It's shameful how much better the first Dead Rising is than all the other ones. DR2 had better AI (which is very nice,) but walk speed was slower, camera was zoomed in, zambos spammed teleporting grab attacks way more, bosses were lame and the music wasn't memorable.

I suck ass at dead rising games but I've been meaning to play the og one more. Maybe try to actually finish it.
