Re: Kojima the hack fraud
Reminds me of that shitty shounen trope where the heroes invite last arc's main villain into their nakama club, conveniently forgetting how much of a monster the guy was.

Re: Happy 20th anniversary to Hack-fraud and Fukushima
I think he meant Tomokazu Fukushima, the MGS1-3 co-writer who only wrote the optional codec stuff, but every Kojima hater treats him like he was the secret genius of the series because they can't admit to liking starfucker's work.Le Redditeur wrote: ↑Sat Nov 13, 2021 4:05 pmThe Fukushima accident is just 10 years old, don't you go around spookying us like that!
Re: Kojima the hack fraud
They also conveniently ignore that Fukushima worked on MGS4 as well
Re: Kojima the hack fraud
He wasn't. Fukushima left Konami after MGS3 and was only credited in the first MGS4 trailer. Even then, he never worked on anything of note after that, mostly being credited in QA stuff for Sony Japan Studios titles nobody has ever heard of.
Re: Kojima the hack fraud
That counts as working on it. Said trailer also outlines the basic plot and some key elements so we can assume Fukushima was involved in at least some of the planning stages, if not directly involved in writing the scriptGuest wrote: ↑Sat Nov 13, 2021 8:55 pmwas only credited in the first MGS4 trailer

Why don't you just add more fuel to the "Fukushim ais the secret mastermind behind MGS" fire.

Re: Kojima the hack fraud
It's not really fuel. The 'Fukushima was the secret mastermind' people claim that MGS1-3 were good because Fukushima worked on them. But he also briefly worked on 4 as well and those same people claim 4 was shit. They also conveniently ignore Snatcher, Policenauts and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, but we all know the Fukushima theory is just a load of cope to avoid admitting they enjoyed Kojima's work.VoiceOfReasonPast wrote: ↑Sat Nov 13, 2021 10:18 pmWhy don't you just add more fuel to the "Fukushim ais the secret mastermind behind MGS" fire.

it's hard not to Given the massive dip in quality the story took after his sudden absence. And Given how little we know about him and what he did it for the series it's anyone's guess how important and influential he was. Santcher Policenauts and Metal Gear 2 where stolen form "homages" to to Blade Runner, Lethal Weapon (but in space), andGuest wrote: ↑Sat Nov 13, 2021 8:04 pmEvery Kojima hater treats him like he was the secret genius of the series because they can't admit to liking starfucker's work.

Re: Kojima the hack fraud
I have never and wouldn't claim that Cuckjima can't make good games. He's just seen as way too instrumental as a single person. He needs a good team and to be tard wrangled hard is all. If he has too much freedom and doesn't get called out he makes ultra garbage.
He's one of those unfortunate people that need to be forced to make something good and immediately goes off chasing squirrels the second you're not keeping him under a steel boot.
Very much like INs that immediately go to shit as soon as they can earn a living from Paymetons and don't have that pressure anymore.

Re: Kojima the hack fraud
That could be said for anyone even myself and everyone else even on this very forum. Kojima's real problem is that he is way too in love with Hollywood and movies, to the point of pure self-indulgence, and in spite of the fact that he makes games.
That doesn't mean he doesn't know anything about game design and that he can't make good games, but he often comes across as someone who is way too into his own ideas and full of himself.
