Now you might argue that Kabuki was actually performed by women during the first 2 or 3 decades (before the Shogunate forbade women from performing), and that it probably didn't have much resemblance to what would eventually become "proper" Kabuki. But there will be a male Kabuki, and he will look more anachronistic.
