How many books have you actually sold? I know there's money in pulp novels in paper but how's online doing for ya?

That's a good question, actually. And I'm not being a wise-ass either. For some reason (either Amazon is stupid or I am) I can't tell how many TOTAL SELLS I have as of today, but I know for a fact I've sold at least 2 this week.

Either I can't find the right option (which makes more sense) or Amazon only allows you to track sells by geography, week, or month (the limit being 6 previous months) and that's it.

tl; dr: I know I'm selling. I don't think I'm going to be an Internet Nobody anytime soon, tho'.

There's definitely some money to be made, yes, but you need to learn how to not be a spoony (aka, know how to handle criticism and not go nuts) and how to promote yourself (like moneybegging in a forum that hates moneybegging!) and such. If you can do all that, get some money, invest in covers, invest in launch teams, and so on, yes, there's definitely money to be made.
