So since this is basically also the ebay thread, I'll post this here.
Fuckers bidding on stuff are stupid. I was bidding on something that usually goes for 250€+ and set 222€ as my max. I considered that risky because, while not a private person, the account had zero sells, zero ratings and only this one item and was created a few days ago.
It went for 237€. I've opted to go with a fixed price offer from a reputable seller for just ten bucks more.

Ebay has spoiled me from big box stores though, like I needed a 12v power adapter for my modem, and ebay has them for 7 bucks, meanwhile I went to best buy and have one for now and it costed $20.

I went to a book store today in person and the prices were fucking insane. I don't know how anyone can afford to shop at those motherfuckers. I went on amazon and they had the same fucking book brand new for 50% the price of the brick and mortar store.

That's not hyperbole either. Both stores were selling a brand new book. The physical store wanted $20. Amazon wants $10 and I get prime shipping too.

Even if Amazon a shit, why would anyone pay 2x the price for the same fucking product, AND have to drive out to a physical store?

Only thrift stores had uber cheap shitty books. I'm not even sure thats true anymore, I haven't been to one in years.

Those have largely disappeared here outside of large cities. Used to be a good way to get an old Playstation for cheap.
