He got out of the internet nobody zone while he still had a chance. He only ever returns to ghostwrite for Pat.

I didn't rent Earthbound back in the day because it looked very childish. Like it was aimed at very young children.
I saw Earthbound screenshots... I saw Final Fantasy III screenshots... there was no way I was getting the childish Earthbound game with it's bright colors and kid protagonist that fights with a baseball bat.
That's the thin IMO. For all its merits, the game was never really intended for a mass market appeal. The competition was just way more interesting/cool looking.

Earthbound isn't even that good. It's Mystic Quest tier when it comes to RPG mechanics and gameplay. I did always like the twisted stuff that they tossed in there, though.
Never understood how it became such a cult classic.
The rolling HP is interesting and all, but there are more fun old Dragon Quest clones out there, be it Shin Megami Tensei (demon fusion 'n' shit) or Metal Max (a more engaging sideview battle system and fucking
tanks).
Autism attracts more autism. Sooner or later, an internet nobody will attract the exact kind of fans - and detractors - he deserves.

Actually tried to google him recently. The fucker just vanished.
Clan of the Gray Wolf fell apart after the other 2 guys lost interest. Roo also lost his hot wife after he bought too much "useless shit."

Honestly the biggest problem with the new video was seeing Bootsy (glitch gremlin), like a kick in the gut.

The gremlin was his loser friend Kevin Finn.

Has Kevin Finn appeared in James' videos recently?
Is his corpse in the same cellar as Bootsy's? How many victims are there...

They ran a podcast until about a year ago. It wasn't very good though. That Commodore guy isn't interesting at all, and their last few episodes just involved them talking about how much they love Reddit.

Why couldn't Cinemassacre (Mike seems to be the PR guy) have just released a cover story like, "Bootsy and Kyle Justin have left to focus on their musical careers." People would have been sad, but satisfied.
Instead we got no explanation and a "NEIN NEIN NEIN! Bootsy and Kyle are VERBOTEN!!!" overreaction whenever anyone asks about them. It just intensifies the speculation.

I bet Matei posted those dick pics on their reddit in order to distract people from talking about Bootsy

It's because they didn't learn from the Game Grumps situation where nobody knows the truth about what happened with JonTron and the rumor mill hasn't stopped because they won't give a straight story.
In their (Mike's) eyes it's just better to pretend and deny because everyone will eventually move on. Except he forgets it's the internet where nobody forgets anything until the event in question is completely irrelevant and, even then, people inevitably drag it back up to the surface the second it becomes even slightly relevant again.

I can’t blame them, though. I’d jump at the opportunity to be my own boss, but I’d make a safety net first. You’d be surprised to hear how many of these guys can’t afford to build up a basic savings account.
Being your own boss is seriously overrated by people who've only ever been employed. It's only ever as amazing as they imagine it to be as long as you make loads of easy money. Once that stops for whatever reason
"Yay, I have nobody telling me what to do!" turns into
"Shit, I've got nobody to tell me what to do!" real quick.
In German, "self-employed" translates to "selbstständig", being made from the words "selbst" (self) and "ständig". In that context, "ständig" is a form of "stehen" (standing). In any other context, "ständig" actually means "constantly" so there's the super old joke:
"Ich bin selbstständig. Ich muss ständig alles selbst machen."
(I'm self-employed. So I constantly have to do everything myself.)
It's a funny quip until you figure out how true it represents the situation. The only easy to do thing when you're self-employed is to go bankrupt.
