All joking aside, at the very least CWC has genuine reasons (having a real existing condition, having shitty parents, and having a very weird family overall) for him being the way he is. SURE, his own personality didn't help, but neither did anything at all around him. So him being unable to have a real job makes sense. It's fucking pathetic, but makes sense none the less.

Spoony is just... outright 100% narcisim for no reason other than him being deluded. I don't think his life has been half as crap as CWC's, and the fact he ended up somehow on the same level of outright denial as him is just... well, fuck me, I don't have an adjective.
