Yeah, I'd agree with that. Instant delivery; no packaging, shipping, handling or even manufacturing of an item; potentially binding customers to your selling platform and encouraging further sales; no margin lost to cinemas or retailers; the convenience making it a low threshold for impulse buys; being able to sell at any time any where. It's the true revolution.
Opposed to that the "cinematic universe" is just a bunch of sequels with a convoluted naming scheme.

Even sequels are better. At least those mostly continue one story or set of characters. Most MCU films are just glorified trailers. People went to see Star Trek III because they wanted to see Star Trek III. The majority of moviegoers for shit like Doctor Strange or Ant Man went for no reason other than a 20 second post-credit scene teasing some Avengers crap.
