Blair Witch was mostly successful because of its marketing. It's a shit film. It's not worse or better than Brad's crap. But I will say it's probably better acted than most of what Brad puts out.

Hell, Pink Flamingos, Blair Witch, and all those other few movies were not only better than Brad's (though that maybe a stretch, the former is mindless and trashy but it's self aware, while the latter is outdated) but were a lot cheaper.

Clerks! Under 30k! Almost half of it costs for camera, film and editing equipment, where Brad has way less costs, filming digital and already owning a lot of equipment.

Though excluding catering. Brad will mention in a making of video that they had an Applebee's catering table for each shooting day.

That was my biggest issue with it as a sequel - it felt like a completely different universe. The cameos from the fake Snob movie aside, the only character who returned from the first besides Snob himself was Neil, and he was recast and played completely differently.

Say what you want about James Rolfe's movie, at least he didn't film the whole thing in his basement and cast Mike Matei or the movie review fatties as main characters. He got actual actors, not fucking Tamara and the Walkers.
