Also an observation if you will, the wife has this "I'm dead inside" look in her eyes, which she didn't have in photos several years old. Is it just her aging really badly, or a sign of fear from domestic abuse?

Also, he has given up. There is literally no way for him to lose more weight without surgery, aka he's stuffing his face again:

I'm sure his wife is sexually frustrated as fuck. She's probably still there only because she's also fat, introverted, can't find another guy, and he makes a shitload of money doing essentially nothing so the money's too good to pass up. She especially can't leave on the eve of a major surgical procedure without looking like a horrible bitch.

Whatever, that shit's on her, I don't feel bad for gold-diggers, especially fat ones. She hates her marriage and he's emotionally manipulative? Too fucking bad bitch, lose some weight and find someone who doesn't weigh half a ton. But hey, if the doctors decide not to go through with the procedure, she could make a tweet about how terrible he's been to her, how he's never taken weight loss seriously, and how unhappy she is with the marriage and then leave. As for boogie, wtf, how is 498 lbs a plateau? Shit, I thought he was already supposed to be nearing 400 lbs. It's obvious that he's just munching down whatever the fuck he wants. He skipped a birthday cake? Like as if not eating even more calories on top of what he usually eats anyway would make a difference. I can't imagine the surgeons involved in this are going to be happy about his progress, I wouldn't be surprised if they called the whole thing off until he lost some serious weight first, and he won't be able to bullshit the weight loss because they'll be measuring what he's actually lost.

I wouldn't jump to giving his wife no sympathy and calling her a gold digger. She got with him before he got nearly as bad as he is now and she likely saw something more in him than just a big fat dude. After all the terrible marriages I've seen my own family members go through I can tell you there's a lot more to it than just, "he's fat but he makes money."

He's likely very abusive. He was abused. He abuses. It's a vicious cycle that even Boogie is going to fall in to when he's backed into a corner. He'll never admit it, though. He's too busy trying to appear like he's that one high school dude that listens to everyone's problems but nobody actually wants to hang out with.

I have nothing but sympathy for his wife. She got with a man who seems, at first, to be very genuine and caring but, as it turns out, he isn't actually either of those things. He's also not taking his own health seriously and this surgery is probably the final straw for her. She wants him to change. He's not changing.

I mean, not saying it's not valid to view her as a gold digger but that's not my perspective on it.

Seems like the internet jumps to gold diggers the second someone with money comes close to losing their wife instead of addressing the almost literal whale in the room and realizing that she's probably sick of said whale's lies, manipulation, abuse, and crap, in general.

We won't know which of you is right until the big tell-all reveal and Boogie's wife leaves him. Could be either one of you. I can see merit to both arguments. I'm sure Boogie is abusive to her (emotionally if nothing else), and I'm pretty sure she's been with him long enough to see through his bullshit and figure out what he's doing with his pity-me-or-I-berate-you-and-run-to-my-hugbox gimmick. If she's pissed off with him leading up to the surgery, it's probably because she's caught him breaking his diet and eating a shit-ton of food with a "fuck off bitch" attitude when confronted. He probably gets super nasty on a diet too, especially since he has that crash diet mentality that clearly doesn't work.

You could both be right to some degree. Maybe she's a gold digger, but she also kind of liked Boogie at one point and now finds him intolerable.

I lost half a stone so fast when I ate nothing but brown pasta and vegetables. I hardly even exercised, like 45 min of light cycling to work and back 5 days a week. Boogie is just a fat lazy twat who's addicted to food.

I have lost 7 and a half stone in the last 22 weeks by just cutting out the sweets, treats, junk food and soda while also walking everywhere I can. The manipulative fuck has always annoyed me with his inability to take his health seriously and lose weight, but now that I have managed to lose as much as I have while still being able to eat a decent amount of food it just annoys me even more. The guy is such a fraud, I would say how long does he think he can keep this bullshit up but then I have seen his crazy fanbase
