But shit like this, the tranny/gender-fluidity, shitzillion pronouns, otherkin, headmates, soulbonding, ect. has got even me starting to think that the concept of allowing people to define themselves has perhaps gone a bit too far. I blame normies who adopted the internet too late, and people who would have been normies had they been born 10-20 years earlier. They're on the verge of fucking up a concept as simple as screennames. "Internet people" used to be mainly be those who knew that that shit was for maintaining anonymity. But now we've got people who live on social media, and whose self-identity is completely tied to the shit they do and see and are online, and failing to treat them like "Kawaii_star_desu_ne," the pink-haired moeblob they use as an avatar, is grounds for a "fuck you you don't get to define me i do" chimpout.
