Re: Brad Jones, The Cinema Snob
I watched his two part review of his first movie.
Was that supposed to make people want to give him money to shit out a second one? It had the opposite effect on me.

It made me remember just how shit it looks. Back in 2012 it looked decent, especially when the other movies out there were the likes of the anniversary specials. But now it looks worse than most YT videos coming out now.

Yeah, sure, until you go and look at actual low production cost movies. Shit like Curse of the Wolf and other tripe made by wannabe directors. All of that garbage looks vastly superior. The motherfucking Room is vastly superior! It's at least a proper movie with actual lighting, actual story, actual writing, actual films sets and actual actors. All of them shit but at least legit. What Brad makes is play around with his friends and a camera. I've seen school projects that were better. Hell, any film school student can and has done better.
Fuck's sake, his shit is so bad that it never feels like he's actually trying to make a movie.

What the fuck is up with that voice he does now? Holy shit that's grating.
Re: Brad Jones, The Cinema Snob
This. He's just pulling 50k out of the air an has no idea where he should be spending it on. The endproduct will be "home movie" quality you'd expect from a child. He's always just trying to hide the fact that he's no director (and never will be) by claiming 'its intended to look like shit!" No, this is even beyond imitation, it's flat out laziness. He's no filmmaker, just a hack with a camera who randomly records a couple of houses on his block with 'actors' walking by for about a week and dares to call it a 'movie'.Kugelfisch wrote: ↑Mon Jul 23, 2018 4:35 pmYeah, sure, until you go and look at actual low production cost movies. This is coming from someone who regularly works his ass off on filmsets, sometimes making 15-16 hour days just to perhaps get about 1-2 minutes of usable footage at the end of it. Brad calling himself a 'filmmaker' pisses me off to no end.
Re: Brad Jones, The Cinema Snob
Brad never got out of the student film phase it seems. I liked him on the common ground of disliking pretentious film snobs, but it seems that Brad is just as much of one in his own hypocritical way.
Goddamn I miss Josh Hadley. He was a total lamer douchebag but I would love to hear his thoughts on modern Brad. Somebody get him on the horn since X is just gonna hold out on me with all the juicy dirt.

All of these IN's are pretentious snobs thinking they're the voice of the people deciding what's good or bad in media.
