And the standard reply of:
1) Member patreons were fine to have, but they couldn't advertise them on site videos.
2) They changed their minds about a year later and opened them up to everyone when they decided to use it themselves. Self-serving, yes, but not exclusionary.
3) Private conversations still generate chat logs, and nothing stops people from talking about what went on after the fact and showing it. People talk, and only idiots forget this when trying to fleece people.
