That Ultima retrospective full of stolen gameplay footage? At least with SWAT 4 and Phantasmagoria it was Spoony doing after play commentary on his own gameplay. Also, I love how many of dick suckers always claimed Spoony was a comedic genius when his videos were not ad libbed or improvised like real comedians do. He did some live panel at a con years ago trying to riff on either a game or movie live and failed miserably.

I remember reading a expert from one of his books where Chuck Palahniuk said a flight attendant recognized him on a plane and told him his theory that the fighting in the book was all a metaphor for gay sex exhibitions and asked if it were true. When the author said yes he said he got free drinks the entire flight. The idea of Cuckson being in “Fight Club” made me think of this.

Looking back it seems a big part of why Noah was (wrongly) credited as comedic genius was that he used a ton of references that his viewers simply did not know.
For instance I always felt a huge lot of the fans were always too young to know what MST3K (which he quoted extensively, verbatim) even was.
Like, Army of Darkness is among my favorite movies and when I once used a quote from it some idiot thought it was originally from Spoopy.

Same for the Spinal Tap stuff I guess, I've seen many people scratch their head in bewilderment at the "None more black" thing.

There's not a lot of jokes that didn't consist of recycled quotes or references to movies or other games.

Every IN is what you get when people become Family Guy irl. There is no real introspection or commentary, just references to describe another references within references to trigger as much nostalgia receptors in the brain as possible.
