It was never speculation. He confirmed it low-key many times. We just assumed the reason he wasn't kicked out yet was because of corona extending everything. April moving out was all the evidence you would ever need that the foreclosure was inevitable, but he has alluded to having to move out multiple times.

There might also be some extra escapism at work, as Spoony's "filmography" is old enough to trigger rose-tinted memories from a time where these fans were less damaged and were probably still living a careless life in their parents' house.

There have been actual court hearings about it and real estate websites are listing his home as "pre-foreclosure". So the situation is real, it's not just Spoony hysterics. Someone could theoretically bail him out at the 11th hour but it doesn't look like that is going to occur. Corona is causing some big delays but he should be out of the house by next summer at the latest, which is kind of ridiculous when you think that he stopped paying his mortgage around September 2019.
