Doing something you supposedly love but somehow "lack the confidence" is not automatically worth doing.
What is even meant by that empty phrase? Don't beat around the bush and say what you mean. It's "if somebody wants to earn money with something they like doing but are afraid it won't work out because it seems unlikely, tell them to keep going regardless". Terrible advice.

Much better advice:
Should you be self-employed? No. No, you should very probably not. If you have so little of a clue to ask that question, you haven't looked into the situation and thought about it enough. If you can't do that yourself, you won't be able to do other things yourself to be successful.

Should you recommend somebody that is uncertain to do it? Absolutely not. They must know on their own and must know how to do it. If they lack the confidence of that step, they will get overwhelmed the moment shit doesn't work out as expected. Shit never works out as expected.

Instead, ask yourself if "what you love" is even a valid job and if it even is something you could see having fun doing for 80-90 hours a week for far below minimum wage for months or years. That's a very realistic assumptions of your conditions early on.

Most importantly, don't do stupid bullshit like internet videos full time unless you can already live off of it comfortably with just the little time investment you can afford to spend on it in your free time. That takes luck and charisma but mostly luck.
If streaming is what you want to do, that's an even worse job than retail.
