Defending Joker 2 however can't be anything other than pure, misguided activism. That movie was handcrafted to be as shit as possible, even for faggots that like musicals.

Jay Bauman remarked awhile ago that Half in the Bag unintentionally became a chronicle of Hollywood's decline. They used to review just about every big movie. There was a stretch of time even when they generally liked MCU movies.

Over time though, their enthusiasm waned and the endless sequels and reboots became numbing. Now when they bother to cover a new movie in-depth they tend to spend half the time talking about how the movie business is dead, the theater experience is garbage, and everything sucks now. How many times can you do that?

So I can understand why they couldn't be bothered with "Joker 2" when it came out. I couldn't either.
