You couldn't have. Not really. Winning the war in any real sense would have meant fighting it in a completely different way to how it was actually fought and 'winning' it the way you would have 'won' it if you didn't pack up and go home would have meant dumping tons and tons of money into South Vietnam to make sure that it held long enough for them to be able to sustain themselves and it just wouldn't have been worth it. If you've ever read the Pentagon Papers, the Joint Chiefs of Staff and all these top officials knew from day one that the war was unwinnable but they figured 'eh, we'll throw more money at it and maybe we'll get something out of it'. Then they outright lied to the public about it.
We didn't get involved in that Vietnam shit. That was probably the only time we told the Americans to fuck off and we were right to do it.

It was a stalemate, not a loss. If burgers lost the Korean War, Worst Korea wouldn't exist. China and the Soviet Union tried really hard to make that happen, but no dice. And considering Best Korea is now slowly caving to The Donald, it looks like Burgerland won in the long term.

And then we got pussified. The French wanted to use nukes in Indochina (Vietnam) back when it was their mess and not ours. They weren't going to do it without Eisenhower's support though, which he denied. Could have ended shit right then and there.

If Eisenhower was President then the Soviets would have had nukes by then. Nuking their friends wouldn't have been smart
