Their new Suicide Squad review is 45 minutes long and features plastic gun "comedy", rambling about completely irrelevant things, and in general offering no insight into the movie or production.

If the movie’s directed by someone they like, they will put the kiddie gloves on, no matter how shitty it is.

Fair statement. I do still like BOTW, though. HITB got really bad, however. Part of it comes from me simply not caring about most current cinema but part is also them having gotten very soft and bland about popcorn garbage in recent years.

I realize we tend to shit on everything, but when somebody's videos get really boring, even this place will ignore them. A good example is Yahtzee Croshaw. How many even remember he existed prior to me mentioning him? We don't sit around shitting on him all the time because he's too boring for discussion. If RLM had only become boring, this thread would stay dead.

RLM does feel like it has gone downhill, not just become stale. The cancer began when AIDSmoby and all these other bit players started to have a more and more active role in the on-camera discussions. Pre-Rec was pretty bad too, since the RLM guys suck ass at vidya. RLM talking about crappy movies (wheel of the worst, etc) is khantent I could get from any other movie channel on youtube, including Cinema Slob. I think the reason RLM frustrates some people here is because they used to be breddy ok (not nostalgia goggles entirely, think plinkett reviews) and now they're mostly garbage. But they were trending downwards from around the endpoint of the plinkett star wars reviews, when they brought in a lot more skits.

And really, what's the point in RLM continuing to make half in the bag videos about the newest mahvul capeshit? Can't they just repost their most negative Mahvul review ad infinitum whenever a new Mahvul comes out? It's pointless to discuss "suicide squad," "Deadpool 3" or some other gay shit seriously. Whenever I do see a new half in the bag posted, it's for some movie I'm 10,000% never going to watch. I don't need their opinion to know the newest Jizzney film isn't worth a $25 ticket.

RLM fans are just as stupid as any other e-celeb fan. They watch capeshit and moreover think RLM's opinion on capeshit matters. They're definitely the ones contributing to RLM's paymetons (not that any e-celeb cares about paypigs).
RLM coasts for the same reason any other e-celeb does. Legacy fans who can't move on, friend simulators, nominally free entertainment that idiots click on, etc. Smug pricks think RLM are smart just because they're not as autistic as CA or the CA diaspora.
