Just kiss already.
Autism attracts more autism. Sooner or later, an internet nobody will attract the exact kind of fans - and detractors - he deserves.

Re: Reddit Letter Media
I have a book called "Incredibly Strange Music". It was published in the early 90s and it's a lot of articles about the record collector fads of the time, when people were really into 50s and 60s instrumental lounge music, surf rock, old novelty records and whatnot. It's all interviews with musicians and record collectors and the collectors are very much forebears of the modern man-child. Along with records, some of them also talk about their collections of vintage toys and lunchboxes and there's a recurring theme in the book of these people fixating on their childhood favorites from the 60s.
A few differences that come to mind:
- The older collectors knew that "The Munsters" and "The Brady Bunch" were silly while modern geeks take their shit very seriously. "He-Man" is serious. "Ghostbusters" is serious.
- In the past, this stuff was a hobby for people with disposable cash. Today, it's more sold as a lifestyle, inclusive to anyone. Meanwhile, companies make new toys of old stuff specifically for adults to collect.
What changed? Maybe it was the break-down of the family. More people than ever come from divorce situations and they don't want to marry, own homes, and have kids themselves. In the absence of those responsibilities, you stay "young".
Maybe it's high fructose corn syrup.
Not sure.

What a load of rubbish from this guest. Out of those titles only He-Man was based on toys.

That's not even the point. If it was made to sell toys or just happened I to it doesn't matter. What matters is that toys were made, kids had them and those, now adult, kids never let go of it.
I think it's mostly what LL said. It just manifested differently. I guess they didn't fixate so much on movie franchises because to see one you had to go to the cinema.
Meanwhile, I've seen all those movies our generation cares about for free on TV. Lower barrier of entry.

Looks like RLM has a shot at getting nominated for an enemy. As an aside, Am I the only one who's tired of RLM doing the whole what we make is garbage jokes? They do it every time Mike or Jay talk about a movie they made and now they're doing it about their own show. It just seems to act like a defense mechanism, to not try as hard because hey whatever we just make garbage.
