There are like 3-4 different tabs to manage permissions. There's user permissions, user forum permissions, group permissions and group forum permissions.

Apparently "group forum permissions" was fucking things up. Glad the whole situation is fixed.

BTW I'm still going to ip-check every suspicious lupapost in this thread to make sure it's not you from now on.
