Hot Fuzz is great, but I see Shaun of the Dead as being a bit more of a parody, if that makes any sense. Maybe it's because a lot of especially older action flicks are already pretty self-aware.

Good parodies take a lot more work than one might think, which makes it especially unfortunate that the mainstream parody industry is dominated by Seltzerberg-tier hacks who just remake trailer scenes of other movies with shriekier actors.

Any good parodies out there? Not just of dragonball but in general?
Black Dynamite?

Imagine spending a billion US dollars to be a loser. Could've watched animu and be one for free.

Nigga Turtles is the best abridged series ever.

He may have caught it at the same Bilderberg-Illuminati meeting as Prince Albert in a Can. I guess lizardmen aren't immune.

Hot Fuzz is so good that it manages to be funny while still remaining accurate with the boring parts of police work. That's what makes it so great.

Also, forgot about Black Dynamite.

Black Dynamite and The Human Tornado are the best parodies I can think of.

I'd like to mention Hobo with a Shotgun as a negative example. It tries way too hard and is boring shit. I was high when I was watching it and it still managed to disappoint greatly.

It's like Sharknado, it's trying to intentionally be a funny bad movie, but that shit can only work naturally.

Too edgy, too trying to appeal at the reddit crowd (80's, ultraviolence, atheism, gore, references, etc). Moviebob liked it, if I remember correctly.

To me it just broke the suspension of disbelief too many times: having the bad guys engage in psychopathic ultraviolence dressed as complete idiots while the setting is suburban canada was just a mish mash of poorly written ideas.
Like Sucker Punch.
