It says they have over 1800 employees and are regarded as one of the biggest manufacturers, so I would think so, H&K doesn't even have half of it - although that's not that important, what matters is how good the production line is, ours could be ancient and H&K cutting edge as far as I know. I used to have a drinking problem that necessitated intervention. Here's the thing with alcoholism: I began to rationalize that getting syphilis from drunk junkies was normal, just something that came with drinking. I have no doubt that they can make a fine rifle. Their pistols are very high regarded. You can't set foot into a shooting club without at least somebody having a CZ. I shot a CZ 75, one of the cheaper models even, and I can see why they are popular.
But volume is very important for a service rifle. I can think of many that can make a good assault rifle but without quality issues to supply an army? I love the shit out of SIG Sauer but they simply don't have that production volume H&K has.

SIG Sauer is actually a fair comparison to CZ in that regard. Both can make all kinds of great firearms but both mostly produce service pistols for police and army, sport pistols and that's already most of their production.
I've seen a few of the applications to replace the Famas. The SIG Sauer and H&K were pretty much what you expected and of course FN had to try and sell their Scar again. The Scar is weird. l never liked it and it's very limited success makes it look like I'm not the only one.
