1) There's nothing actually (physically) wrong with Spoony whereas TB is known to actually have a terminal illness
2) TB's not even tweeting himself any more, which sort of lends credence to 'he's going to die very soon'

While I get your sentiment, TB didn't have anything to gain from pretending. He was at the top of his popularity and never had a problem to make videos because he loves to tell you what to think. Plus, the whole "get cancer and die" affair was so much egg on his face, he'd never gone with cancer. If he wanted to milk it, he'd have gone with something like MS, which is not immediately lethal but can come in convenient pushes.
If he could voice his opinion via twitlonger, podcast, twitter, soundcloud and YT video right now, he certainly would.
