I'd rather play with the Lament Configuration than watch German television. It's healthier for your sanity.
Autism attracts more autism. Sooner or later, an internet nobody will attract the exact kind of fans - and detractors - he deserves.

Excluding the odd football game or boxing match I haven't watched TV in five or so years.Rushy wrote:Kugel does, he's keeping track of all the autism in the news.
But I see the newspapers and hear the state propaganda radio news at work and on my way there.

Shows about video games never suited being on TV if you ask me it's something that should be online
Re: Guru Larry
Yeah, the TV shows never felt right at all, the time limit of thew shows means they have to rush through shit. Just look at X-Play, all of their reviews were short shit that told you nothing and were full of snarky jokes. Not really their fault, they were confined to TV when the internet had superior options.Guest wrote:Shows about video games never suited being on TV if you ask me it's something that should be online

Giga was alright. They had to make constant commercial breaks of the same three fucking commercials every couple of minutes for their regular program but they hosted and aired CS 1.6 and CoD 2 clanwars of top clans uninterrupted and commentated live, which blew my mind at the time that such a thing could be on TV. You had to have satellite, though.
ESL league clanwars of CS on live fucking television with all the players right there in the studio in a soundproof gaming room.

Re: Guru Larry
I agree that the internet was a better way for the video game khantent to make its own niche. The weird thing is that many of the older ecelebs didn't figure this out, as I got the sense guys like Spoony and AVGN always thought that mainstream television and film were the gold standard for success.
Now you have Nostalgia Critic putting stuff out in theaters along with the pile of crossover "movies" and "shows" that Channel Awesome ecelebs and AVGN churned out (don't forget the Spoony movie, coming to a theater near you). It's as if they believed that they were temporarily embarrassed film stars.

Every single shit vlog Doge could throw on YT would get more views, be less effort and likely even earn more money than his "cinema" thingy he's planning. I really don't know why they bother with stuff like that. Must be desperation to be legit or something.

B-b-but now he can truly call himself a movie artiste. It'll look so good on his résumé.
