The funny thing? The dystopia the show is in charge of a council: a group in white robes lead by a guy called papa that is being treated like a deity among the children. They even pray to him before meals.

I still get a boner whenever I think back to the day Bleach ended and everyone lost their shit because their One True Pairing didn't become canon.
