I don’t love him any less but I feel very broken. I will miss so much we shared together and had planned together. I will not be okay for a very, very long time, and I will never be the same, but I don’t regret loving again. I just wish he had gotten help earlier so things didn’t happen this way.

My life will be lesser without our laughing until we cry, writing bad movies together, StonedTrek, our farm, our light, so many movies and shows unfinished, falling asleep on calls, dance parties, the worst of Tubi, him reading to me when I didn’t feel well, playing games together, our bucket list

Talking about puppies, being foodies, the cabin, talking about us being old people in our rocking chairs yelling at kids, so, so, so much music….I feel like I could go on for hours. He always said he didn’t feel worthy, so I don’t think he has ever understood my love for him. But when he asked,

I meant it, I did want to spend the rest of my life with him. And I can only hope he figures himself out and comes back happier and healthier because somehow, even though Steve died, this loss feels so much more monumental.

Just a few days ago he kept saying he loves me so much, we’ll get through this. And now? No more Ernie to his Bert. Calvin to his Hobbes. Nikki to his Ray. I hope he learns to love himself and heal his wounds. He may always be a Grumpy Bear and that’s okay. But I want him to be proud of himself.

It’s so hard to look back at our texts and see how wildly different things were just a few weeks ago. Months ago. Last year was when he asked me. None of this seems real.

I think what hurts the most is him saying he would never do this to me. And I said the same to him.

Also an update on her ARFID issues

one last update before tonight — I have a meeting with a health coach next Friday who will hopefully be able to help me with my ARFID, a free benefit offered by my company. If that doesn’t help, I’ll have to find a dietitian. Wish me luck.
