The rlm prequel reviews are the only instance I can think of, of an internet "review" legitimately "going viral." That wouldn't happen for Doge.

The main reason the Mr Plinkett Phantom review went viral was because they actually broke down the problems from a movie structure and story telling perspective told by a raping, kidnapping, and murdering psychpath with a funny voice. Also the editing on those reviews are quite clever. Not to mention memes like "what's wrong with your FAAAACCEE?"

Doge isnt informed enough, clever enough or edgy enough to do what RLM did. He just screams a lot, puts on funny costumes, and the sparse analysis he does at the end is vapid and schmaltzy.

Hell, even Lindsay has broken down the editing formula of RLM and copies it note for note.

In a way, Spoony had the ingredients for that shit in his hands many years before that. Straight up calling a FF game total garbage with an hours long dissection why broke new ground back then.

He could've been the hot shit right now but he chose TGWTG. He could've been their golden child but he chose to behave like a lunatic. He could still earn 5k a month via paymetons but he chose doing nothing. It's a tragedy that isn't because the reason for his downfall is just too pathetic.

Honestly I don't think even a Spoony that retained a half decent work ethic and output could ever have become what RLM did. For one, Spoony simply isn't on their level. Not just in terms of creativity but also in old fashioned hands on experience and business acumen.

I don't think people give enough credit to the fact that unlike the nobodies that came before RLM Mike had nearly a decade of actual hands-on production experience. When they started there was a foundation of skills beneath Mike and Jay that none of the nobodies, including Spoony, could have ever imagined. Not only that, Spoony in particular couldn't match RLM'S ambition. I just can't see a universe existing where Spoony would have ever come anywhere near 28,000+ in donation monies.

I think he found his niche and didn't realize it. AMV Hell was a great concept and he should've kept that around.

Because they don't have the right mixture. Rich and Jack care. Both have wildly differing taste. They could produce kino like their The Order review but they didn't do enough of those and most of the time you had Rich, the chanfag, going against Jack the plebbitor. You can have two based guys or go full dipshit but one of each doesn't work.
